When friends and neighbors start leaving fifty pound bags of sugar on your father's doorstep, its a sign. Our eighty-two year old father inherited mad bootlegging skills and great recipes and was blessed with two ambitious daughters who didn't want Daddy to go to jail. That's the very short story of how the first distillery in Stanly County was born.
